It is time to deck the halls because December 1 is National Christmas Lights Day! We here at Wonder and Wander – Jackson love Christmas lights and are happy to have so many wonderful displays through Jackson County. As a kid, it was a family tradition to pile in the minivan and drive through our small-town to view the Christmas lights and “Ooh” and “Aah” over the displays. As an adult, I’ve tried this with my family, and sometimes we find some awesome displays, and sometimes we strike out.
Enter: Nite Lites – A Drive-Thru Christmas Light Show!
I still fondly remember the first time my family went through the Nite Lites holiday display. Held at that time at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, I was dazzled by the twinkling lights, whimsical displays, and general holiday ambiance. Now held at Michigan International Speedway, Nite Lites is a can’t miss holiday destination that has become a tradition for many Michigan families.

Touted as “Michigan’s largest Christmas light display”, Nite Lites features over 6 miles of light displays. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, Nite Lites is not doing any in-person portions this year – only drive-thru viewing!. From animals to tunnels and even a “Twelve Days of Christmas” display, Nite Lites is sure to make your holidays glow.

We are excited to announce that Night Lites has provided Wonder and Wander – Jackson with four free passes to giveaway! Winners must be able to visit the display during the 2021 season, which runs from November 25-December 31. (Editor’s note: we love visiting during the weeknights as there is less traffic than the heavily visited weekends!)
