Welcome to Wonder and Wander’s Guide to Fall Fun in Jackson County. We’ll be highlighting some of our favorite spots throughout October and handing out some “awards” along the way – so check back often!
Is there anything better than fall? Over here at Wonder and Wander, this is our favorite season, and it is hard to decide what we love more – the cooler temps, the beautiful leaves, or the yearly trip to pick out the perfect pumpkins. If you have been following along with our Guide to Fall Fun in Jackson County, you know that we have handed out “The Family Tradition Spot” award, and “The Fan Favorite” award. Today, it is time that we give recognition to a staple in our community.
Meckley’s Flavor Fruit Farm was originally started in 1956, and over time they have evolved to offer a little bit of, well, everything. If you are looking for a cidery, brewery, bakery, then Meckley’s is your go-to place! Are you looking for wine, good eats, or a slew of locally made items from other small businesses? They have that too!
In addition to these offerings, Meckley’s transforms into a hopping event location every weekend in October (yes, both Saturday and Sunday from 11-4), offering local food trucks, live music, farm animal viewing, u-pick pumpkins & apples, a corn maze, wagon rides, yard games, and the cutest Pumpkin Haus set-up for photos.
Did you get all of that? With their amazing offerings and longstanding history, it is easy to see why we are awarding Meckley’s with our #youautumnknow “The OG” award. Keep reading to get all of the details you need to plan your visit to this historic spot!
