Nestled in the heart of Downtown Jackson is Horace Blackman Park, which is the perfect place to take a little break while downtown.

Why we love it: With mural views, and some interactive spaces for the kids, you can’t beat this beautiful urban park. Many great events happen at this park throughout the year.
Features: Tables for relaxing or dining, a “we-saw” (a seesaw for four people), playable chimes, greenspace, amphitheater space, and excellent views of Downtown Jackson

Elizabeth’s Suggestion: Order take-out from one of the downtown restaurants, or grab a coffee from Fortress Cafe, and walk to the park for lunch/dinner and some playtime.

Closing Review: Depending on the day, Horace Blackman Park can either be a quiet and calm space, or a vibrant and bustling space. We just happen to love it both ways, and hope you will too!
