School playgrounds often have some of the best equipment, so we decided to check out the playground at the new Cascades Elementary School. This playground is on the smaller side, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with unique climbing equipment. Summer is the perfect time to visit a school playground, so keep reading to learn more about this great local spot!

Big Kid Approved? Yes! Big didn’t want to leave!

Parking? We parked in front of the school and walked over. Be prepared for a short walk to the equipment.
Hours: After school during the school year, open hours during the summer. (Remember to be respectful of summer school programs!)
Closing Review: This playground is perfect for bigger kiddos who love to climb. Be sure to try out the extra tall slide – it is fast! When we visited, we had the whole playground to ourselves, which is a nice break from busy places during summertime. At first glance, you might think this small playground won’t be much fun, but once your kids start climbing, they will not want to leave! Just remember – sometimes schools run summer programs, so playgrounds may be unavailable at various times during daytime hours.
